BAD FUEL IN THE CAR
Fuel like anything else can and will go bad/off. Having fuel sit in your tank for an extended period of time will generally make your car run terribly. There are many additives to put in the car to preserve the fuel but the best way is to use the car regularly and fill up as much as you need for the trip.
Sometimes a fuel station will have bad fuel. Hopefully your car will have some good fuel still in it so the good and the bad mixes together. Just a couple of things to look out for.
1. Don't fill up your car after the tanker has deposited the fuel. It mixes up the rubbish on the bottom and that is what you don't want.
2. Fill up at busy fuel stations.
